Ryan and Michelle’s summer wedding in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, took us from a walk through the Historic Third Ward to a 1920s-inspired reception at Turner Hall Ballroom. Somewhere along that walk, Ryan took hold of Michelle’s dress and carried it for her. I love that little bit of taking care of each other in the middle of a wedding day. There’s only so much I need to say when we head out for portraits. Once you’re walking together and doing what you’d do anyway, I get to give you that time and pay attention to what happens in it.
Later, Ryan was in his white tux, grinning while Michelle danced. I love that they’ll get both of those moments back. A little time together on a Milwaukee sidewalk, then the two of them right in the middle of the party they’d brought their people together for. Those are the parts I want you to get to live all the way through. I’ll be there for them.
