Who is Nicole Kilday?
I’m Nicole Kilday, an Illinois wedding and family photographer since 2016, a light chaser, and a mom of two feral little boys who’d live in the sandbox wearing a single cowboy boot if I let them. I take a small number of weddings and families each year. It’s one photographer, start to finish, with no rushing, & nothing surface level. This was never about volume. It’s art married to love, and your story deserves my whole heart, not a time slot.
The Back-story
It started with my grandpa and a family rule: never leave the camera behind. At 22, I walked away from a desk job that called repeating the same task “success.” I couldn’t picture my life without creativity, or without helping people. Then in 2016, I shared my family’s Christmas card online, and it spiraled from there.
Now I’m 34. I’m still in love with the boy I met at 20, raising two boys who look just like him, with a German shepherd (or 2) never far behind. The most mundane moments feel like magic to me through a camera lens. I’m here for couples and families who trust my eye, want to take their time, and want their love made into art for generations to come. Everyone deserves photos. And everyone deserves the memory, me included.
