Engagement Photo Sessions

This time together isn’t random. It’s where the trust starts.

Most couples I photograph for their wedding have never been in front of a camera like this before — and that’s exactly why engagement sessions exist. They give us time to hang out, walk around somewhere meaningful, and let you get comfortable being photographed before your wedding day ever arrives.

When the camera stops feeling like a thing you have to think about, the photos start to feel like you.

That’s the whole point.

Engagement sessions are included with all of my local wedding photography collections for couples across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin, because by the time your wedding day comes around, I want you to already know how I work — when I step in, when I step back, and how easy things can feel once you stop worrying about the camera.

Location guidance is always included too. I’ll help you find somewhere that feels right for you — a place where you can show up and be yourselves.

Includes: 30 min – 2 hour session (Mon–Thurs) ○ 1 Photographer ○ Posing direction & guidance ○ Location guidance ○ Online digital gallery & print shop ○ Printing rights included ○ 2–4 week turnaround time ○ Travel included within 40 miles of Hebron, IL · additional travel quoted as needed ○ Sessions take place Monday–Thursday (Saturday availability: +$1,550)

The Warm-Up, Engagement Session

Your engagement session is less about photos and more about realizing you don’t have to think about the camera.

This is where you get a feel for how I work — how I move, when I step in, when I don’t, and how quickly things start to feel… easy. We walk. We talk. We pause when the light is good and keep going when it’s not.

I’ll step in with direction when it helps and back off when it doesn’t. Nothing forced. Nothing overly planned. Just space for you two to be yourselves without wondering what you’re “supposed” to be doing.

This is where the trust starts to settle in. So when your wedding day comes around, you’re not thinking about the camera — you’re just living it. I’ll be there, paying attention.

Included with all local wedding photography packages — or $1,250 on its own.
